More About Godly Play

We announced earlier that Godly Play has come to St. Paul's Holy Trinity. Godly Play is a presentation of the Gospel to young children told with small figures to help them engage the story. There are "I wonder" questions to help them ponder the spiritual dimension of their lives in the light of the Gospel. These presentations are offered on the first and third Sunday's at the 10 a.m. liturgy as a part of the homily. Church School is also offered on these Sunday's beginning at 9:45 a.m.

Godly Play Comes to St. Paul's Holy Trinity

Godly Play is a Montessori based approach to helping children to engage the Gospel.

We have begun to offer a Godly Play children's sermon for young children. Not only has it been helpful for children, we are also learning to be a community of faith in which children are full participants in the church.

Presently the Godly Play homily is offered twice each month. We hope to build on this beginning. The next offering will be on December 16. Come join us.

100 Year Anniversary

On October 7, 1907 thirteen women met and formed the Guild of Holy Trinity. They purchased the land where the church currently sits. With a lot of faith, work and perseverance the church formed. On October 7, 2007 we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of that faithfulness with a celebration Mass at 10:00 a.m. and dinner on the grounds afterward.

We are inviting all former clergy, parishioners and their families to attend. If you would like to come, please call the church office 225-638-8433 and leave you name, address and phone number, so we can include you in the festivities.

If you have pictures of weddings, baptisms, confirmations or any activities that we may use we would love to borrow them. Please include the date (if possible), the names, what occasion, and your name and address so we can return them to you.

We hope to see you here!
